Chia bread is a delicious alternative to traditional bread. This low carb chia bread recipe is gluten free and high in fiber. But it’s also so much more than just a great tasting bread! It’s healthy for you, easy to make, and versatile for all of your favorite toppings. These qualities have made chia bread a favorite for people following the ketogenic diet or those wanting to lose weight.

  • 500 g low-fat quark
  • 300 g almond (s), ground
  • 50 g chia seeds
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Shortly grind the chia seeds, e.g. B. in a coffee grinder or in a mortar.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) with fan.

Mix the grinded chia seeds with the quark well and let it soak for 10 minutes. Mix the almonds, baking powder and salt thoroughly and then knead it until it’s a smooth dough.

Pour the batter into a baking pan or shape it into a loaf. Bake for about 50 minutes and then let cool down well.
